My lovely soulmate,

I reach out to you, my beautiful soulmate, because our outer, but mostly inner world is not always a safe place..I struggle with it..and I know you struggle too, I feel you, that is why…I want to remind you, that sometimes it’s the only option for a free, sensitive and empathic soul, like yours – to be there for yourself, to support yourself and in front of all … to protect yourself. I know, that you often forget about your beauty, about your vulnerability … and your heart is so fragile, because it’s always open. If I’m not there to remind you, if I’m not there to caress your hand, promise me one thing:

Please, promise me one thing, my lovely, fragile soulmate. When there’s a storm in your life, protect yourself, do you promise me? When you feel like a little, sweet child with big eyes, full of tears, who is lost in the crowd .. give the child a helping, warming hand. Show this little child a way out, be kind, be the guardian angel.

Please, promise me one thing. When a word will hurt you, don’t take it close to your heart, protect yourself, do you promise me? Just know, that you’re in safe arms of a loving parent, remember to be that loving parent for yourself. Just know that you’re safe.

Please, promise me one thing. When somebody tries to put you down or to discourage you, because that somebody has lost his own truth, protect yourself. Would you believe, if I told you, that I’m not enough, that I can’t achieve my goals, that I’m not worthy of my highest desires? What would you have told me, to make me believe in myself? Can you take your own hand and whisper it into your ear? Protect yourself.

Please, promise me one thing. If you feel lonely, don’t punish yourself, just give yourself a strong hug. Hug yourself, just as if you would have hugged me, when I felt lonely. Find the kind words, you would have told me and then give them back to you. Protect yourself.

Please, promise me one thing. When you find yourself drowning in self-doubts and insecurities, protect yourself, do you promise me? Give yourself the support, which you would have given to me, if I would have lost my self-worth. Do you hear your warm and comforting words? Take them. Protect yourself.

Please, promise me one thing. If your heart is broken and you’re lying on the ground, help yourself to rise again, do you promise me? If I had a broken heart, what would you tell me? If I would rise again, would it make you smile? Would it give you joy? So please rise, my lovely soul, rise and smile. Protect yourself.

Please, promise me one thing. If you feel like crying, because you feel like you failed, give yourself the space to cry. Protect yourself. Would you hold my hand if I cried? Would you find encouraging words if I had failed? Please, my sweet soul, protect yourself.

Please, promise me one thing. If you don’t see a bright future and it seems impossible to move on, remember your greatness, my dearest friend. Remember, how you lifted me up. Remember, what a bright future you painted for me, remember how you protected me from myself.

Now, take a few deep breaths,

calm your mind and promise me

one thing.

Protect yourself.

From yourself.
